Fundraising ideas for the 12.12.12 Challenge

  • Idea 1

Pick a different challenge each month to tie in with the month number. You could perhaps decide to mix gentler pursuits with more challenging ones (e.g. book & craft in the cold winter months, more sporty challenges in the warmer spring & summer). Example:

Jan (month 1) – walk 1 mile

Feb (month 2) – read 2 books you’ve always meant to read

Mar (month 3) – watch 3 of your favourite films

Apr (month 4) – cook dinner for 4 friends

Dec (12.12.12) – sing 12 Christmas Carols (or something festive)

  • Idea 2

Do 12 of something each month e.g.

Jan – watch 12 films

Feb – read 12 books

Mar – knit 12 squares and make a blanket

Apr – plant 12 of your favourite flowers in the garden

Dec – run a half-marathon (12 miles – we know it’s actually over 13 miles, but you get the idea)

  • Idea 3

Make it all bear-related e.g.

Jan – donate £12 (or your equivalent currency) to a bear project

Feb – send 12 kongs to the bear enrichment program

Mar – send 12 tins of dog food to IBBR

… etc.

Or a combination!

  • Alternative Options

This is a challenge we’d like to be open to everyone, in whatever way they’d like to take part so here are another few suggestions (we use British pounds below but any currency will do!) :-

1) Save a £1 a month every month for 12 months = donating £12 by 12.12.12

OR

2) Donate £12 a month for 12 months = donating £144 by 12.12.12

OR

3) Save up your small coins (1p and 2p) from now until 12.12.12

OR

Any other idea you have for raising funds – just make sure you make 12 the magic number in some way!
